On July 5, FOUR PAWS, with the support of the Ukrainian Authorities, freed five month old baby bear Nastia, who was brutally snatched from her mother and illegally sold to animal traders by the Lutsk Zoo. The bear cub is now in FOUR PAWS' care. Although Nastia is safe now, the question remains whether she will be recognised by her mother. Within the next days, FOUR PAWS plans to reunite mother and cub. FOUR PAWS is also looking for the best solution to ensure both bears get species-appropriate life from now on.
