This video is not intended for sensitive viewers. There are over 80 brown bears living in very poor captive conditions across Ukraine. Most of them are living in small cages next to restaurants, hotels, or petrol stations. The bears are undernourished and ill. Many of them have to perform tricks to entertain tourists, are abused for the training of hunting dogs, or have to drink alcohol. With the support of the Ukrainian government, the international animal welfare organization FOUR PAWS has rescued several abused bears in the last couple of months and brought them to a Ukrainian bear sanctuary.
